Chicago businessman and Princeton graduate who served with Ernest Hemingway in the American Red Cross volunteer ambulance service in Schio, Italy, during World War I, shared an apartment with him in 1920 in Chicago, and remained lifelong friend. Mainly correspondence relating to Ernest Hemingway, together with several essays by Horne about Hemingway and the ambulance service, a scrapbook with photographs of the ambulance service in Italy, and other miscellaneous material.
