Abstract
Dancer, choreographer, and teacher Edna McRae started dancing in Chicago Public Schools and studied with Andreas Pavley, Serge Oukrainsky, and Adolph Bolm, among others. She operated a ballet school in Chicago from 1925 to 1964, becoming known as the grande dame of the Chicago Ballet community. Abstract
Scrapbook and loose material from the scrapbook documenting the dance career of Chicago dancer-actress-musician Evelyn "Evie" Martha Atkeisson (b. 1906). Atkeisson performed with the European Ballet School, Chicago, taught at the Lyon & Healy Music Building, and danced at the formal opening of the Drake Hotel.
