Perkins's wife Edith Forbes Perkins, his daughter Edith Perkins Cunningham, and William A. Davis, postmaster for St. Joseph, Missouri, supposedly the first to suggest Railway Mail Service as a replacement for the Pony Express. Forms part of the Chicago, Burlington & Quincy Railroad Company Records.
