Abstract Chicago Choral Artists (CCA) began in 1975 as the James Chorale before changing their name in 1997 following the death of their founder, James Rogner, in 1995. They continue to perform in the Chicago area, focusing on creating "a vibrant thread of music which connects the director, the singers and the audience" (quoted from their website, 2021).
