Scope and Contents note
John N. A. Griswold was a close friend and colleague of J. M. Forbes, who brought Griswold onto the CB&Q board of directors in 1875. He had previously been president of the Illinois Central Railroad. He served on the CB&Q board until 1881, and was also on the board of the H&StJ from 1883-1884.
