Scope and Contents note

Correspondence between Harris and other officials, primarily G. W. Holdredge, C. M. Higgenson, and J. R. Hastings which pertain to dealings between the CB&Q and CB&N lines. Topics include use of depots owned by other lines; contracts with smaller lines; construction of bridges in St. Paul; track conditions; accident settlements; Twin City Stock Yard. There is a significant amount of material regarding the construction of a bridge at Jack Knife Draw in East Dubuque. Many letters have attachments including clippings and blueprints of bridges.
