Scope and Contents note
W.J. Ladd was a BM&I cashier (1867-78), CB&Q clerk, board of directors (1878-96), comptroller (1881-98), H&StJ secretary (1883-86), and Director (1883-84), KCStJ&CB director (1881-85). Around 1900, he was the secretary and treasurer of several copper mining operations in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan (Osceola Consolidated Mining Company, Isle Royale Copper Company, Ahmeek Mining Co., Seneca, Tamarack).
