Scope and Contents note
This material consists of letterpress books containing correspondence to various railroad officers and associates. The term “Private” here refers to a letter that should be delivered directly to the addressee rather than opened by a secretary or assistant. Most letters have to do with financial matters, stocks, bonds, taxes, etc. Many concern Perkins’ personal finances and vacations.
This material was originally given the call number C-O 1 P 4.2, Cunningham-Overton Collection.
