Correspondence in this group covers the time period when Harris was second vice-president of the CB&Q. Topics include: relations with other roads, equipment and construction, financial statements, crop conditions, geological/mineral reports. There is significant correspondence with Nebraska politician J. Sterling Morton regarding the construction of a bridge at Nebraska City. Letters are often accompanied by enclosures, circulars, maps, and blueprints.
