Series 3 R3: Ripley, E. P., 1878-1887
Scope and Contents note
E. P. Ripley was general freight agent and traffic manager of the CB&Q. Most correspondence is routine, including information about freight rates for livestock, food, coal, lumber, etc. as well as some salary information with Ripley advocating for raises for certain employees. Some correspondence refers to reports to railroad commissioners regarding freight rates. As most of this correspondence was fairly repetitive, it was decided keep a sample, and de-accession the rest.
