Subseries 3 S7.4: Circular letters to managers, 1888-1890
Scope and Contents note
These letters are comprised of both incoming and outgoing correspondence between Stone to other officials concerning issues common to all lines in the system. Many of the letters pertain to mechanical matters and equipment issues, but a significant number of letters are about personnel and labor issues, specifically employment and re-employment of men after the 1888 strike.
