Scope and Contents note

These volumes resume outgoing correspondence after Strong was rehired by the CB&Q at the behest of C. E. Perkins. Topics include rate pools and tariffs. Letters after November 1877 are written primarily by G. O. Manchester, who had been assistant land commissioner of the B&MI. It’s unclear what capacity he is writing from here.
