Biographical/Historical note
George Tyson was a colleague of J. M. Forbes, and was brought in by the latter as an auditor at CB&Q in 1875. He was president of the Burlington & Missouri in Nebraska from 1876-1880. This series contains one letterpress book of outgoing correspondence and a significant amount of incoming letters from C. E. Perkins in the period immediately following the River Roads financial controversy in which conflicts of interest were discovered among investors in the B&M.
