From the Sub-Series:

Primarily original documents including quitclaim deeds, warranty deeds, abstracts of title, right-of-way deeds, surveyor’s statements, insurance policies, contracts, agreements, and patents. Also contains correspondence between Land Department officials and purchasers, letters pertaining to O&SW and A&N land grants, Mann’s addition to Sterling, and vacating of property. Also agreements of Covington, Columbus and Black Hills, Patent to Sacs and Foxes Indian territory (signed by President Ulysses S. Grant), lists of public lands for sale, and an agreement by D. N. Tyson to convey land in Plattsmouth to the B&MRR, Nebraska, as inducement to adopt a route running to the Missouri River opposite that town. Subseries 763.8 as described in the 1949 printed guide has been merged in to this subseries.
