Scope and Contents note
Correspondence between the General Land Office, railroad officials, and attorneys about adjustment of grants and redistribution of land not used by railroad, and many concerning the act of February 1896 extending time for bringing suits against land patents. Correspondents include W. T. Steiger, C. E. Perkins, Thomas Doane, J. D. McFarland, and T. M. Marquett. Also includes a significant amount of printed materials, legal documents, U. S. Corps of Engineers report, and a history of the land grant.
