Scope and Contents note
James M. Walker was president of CB&Q from 1871-1876, then general solicitor for the railroad until his death in 1881. He also served on the board of directors and Western Executive Committee. Letters are primarily to J.M Forbes, J.N.A. Griswold, and George Tyson, concerning River Roads, contracts, policies, bonds, and other business matters.
