Reports produced by the CB&Q for the benefit of stockholders and the general public. Lists Board of Directors, Officers and Executive Committee; and provides a narrative, highlights, and statistics for the previous year, either calendar or fiscal, depending on the year. Later reports also occasionally included fold-out maps and/or photographic illustrations and graphs. In 1947 the company began adding illustrations and photographs to the annual reports covers. Some bound reports contain folded maps in the front or back pockets of the binding. The Newberry has also cataloged bound volumes of the Annual Report, 1881-1912/13 (lacking 1897), call number: H 668 .161.
