Loose - Groups - Centennial celebration, Aurora, IL, Feb. 12, 1949
Scope and Contents note
Photographs of various officers and others working for the CB&Q and the Burlington & Missouri Railroads, beginning in 1852. Many of the photographs are cabinet cards and other early prints of officials, collected by the wife of Charles Elliott Perkins, Edith Forbes Perkins (see also CB&Q A-4-1, Edith Forbes Perkins Papers, for more information). These photographs were originally in 4 volumes of cabinet card albums and were later removed from the albums. There is an index for each original album, containing the name, position, and tenure of service of each person photographed. In addition, there is a general index for all names in alphabetical order. The following numbers were not used: 156, 157, 158, 159, 286, 287, and 288. The photographs that follow are loose photographs of individuals and groups, mostly from later time periods. Some letters and extraneous materials removed to A-4-1: Personal Papers - Edith Forbes Perkins Papers.
Cabinet card albums were originally cataloged in the 1949 printed guide as C-O 2.
