Scope and Contents note

Various materials related to Parsons’s personal life and family. The majority of this series consists of correspondence with family members, especially his wife, Myra, and his mother, Sarah. Other items include biographical notes on Parsons, household financial documents, and travel memorabilia from trips to France and Italy. Posthumous materials mainly come from a period not long after Parsons’s death, including clippings about the South Pacific during World War II (possibly because of Parsons’s ties to the Philippines), notes on Parsons’s estate, obituaries, and organizations’ minutes memorializing Parsons.
