Series 3: Photographs, 1873-1937
Scope and Contents note
Photographs documenting Parsons’s personal and professional life, including portraits of Parsons, as well as family, group, home, and Philippines photographs. The series also contains photo albums on the Philippines and its buildings. The family photographs mainly include Parsons’s children, Louise and Seymour, and sometimes his wife, Myra. Many of the photographs, aside from the portraits, do not have Parsons as the subject.

The William Edward Parsons papers are open for research in the Special Collections Reading Room; 1 box at a time (Priority III).
Arrangement note
Photographs with Parsons and his friends/acquaintances as the subject placed first, in the order of portraits, family, and group photographs with friends/acquaintances. Portraits arranged chronologically. Parsons family and group photographs arranged alphabetically. All other photographs arranged alphabetically by subject in Box 9, with miscellaneous items at end. Photograph albums in subsequent boxes, with folders arranged by page number.
