Series 3: Scrapbooks, approximately 1870s-1902
Scope and Contents note
Three volumes of scrapbooks compiled by Wing. The first two volumes are entitled "The Lanthorn Scrap-Book" (named after the manufacturer of the blank scrapbooks) and include custom title pages by Wing and many newspaper clippings and plates, mostly about authors and the book trade. There are four photographs pasted in Vol. 2 of Wing's Chicago home, entitled "The Old Corner Library, 1901." The third volume is entitled, "Travels in Europe" and is undated. It consists of commercial photographs of England and Italy, probably from the 1870s or 1880s, featuring London, Naples, and Pompeii.
