Planning, general and long range, mid-1970s-mid-1980s

 File — Box: 13, Folder: 185

Scope and Contents note

From the Series:

The Board of Directors governing MoMing often had a rocky and fractious relationship with each other, and the minutes and correspondence in this series partially tell that story. This section also has a lot of information about the members and subscribers to MoMing, detailing their audience (also reflected in the Box Office summaries, which convey the attendances for performances). There is some overlap in this series with the Development Series and the Performance Files, in terms of planning efforts and in attendance summaries. There is also quite a lot of information about collaborative efforts between MoMing and other organizations, such as CETA (i.e. Comprehensive Employment Training Act., where in the U.S. Dept. of Labor awarded grants to the city of Chicago, who then subsidized employment to MoMing), FEDAPT (the Foundation for the Expansion and Development of American Professional Theatre, which assisted MoMing in their reorganization after their funding crisis of 1985), and the NPN (National Performance Network, which was established out of New York's Dance Theatre Workshop to assist and support other U.S. arts organizations).
