Fundraising Counsel selection, 1994

 File — Box: 68, Folder: 1273

Scope and Contents note

From the Series:

Development records from directors Linda S. Jackson, Shannon Motta, and Steven Majsak. Materials include detailed records for event planning, campaigns, grant proposals, fundraising, and committee activities. Annual development reports provide an overview of campaign statuses, donations and pledges, contributed income, etc.

Event records contain guest and invitation lists, expenses, menus, publicity materials, solicitation assignments for board members, and other general planning documents. Grant applications are a strong source of company information because they often include company rosters, performance schedules, financial information, staff biographies and strategic planning statements. Grant reports also provide detailed information towards the progress of a grant. Highlights include an April 1990 letter from the NEA to grantees regarding the AIDS epidemic and a summary of Chicago area dance groups and organizations in the 1981-1982 grant files.
