Scope and Contents note

Materials related to Nelson Algren and his correspondence with Anne Siewers Coyne. She met Algren at the Abraham Lincoln Bookstore when she worked there, and they continued to correspond until 1960. In addition to the correspondence, the papers include a Xerox copy of a book inscription to Coyne from Algren, related clippings, photographs, and a poem signed by Algren.
