Scope and Contents note

Materials, chiefly correspondence, related to the David B. Steinman Visiting Poets series at Loyola University Chicago. Anne Siewers Coyne secured Steinman’s sponsorship of the series and she thus corresponded with many well-known poets from the twentieth-century to see if they would be interested in being featured. She corresponded with some of the poets, such as e. e. cummings and Dame Edith Sitwell, long after their feature in the visiting poets series and those materials are in this series of her papers. In addition to correspondence there are related announcements, autographs, clippings, photographs, and programs.
