Scope and Contents note

Fanny Butcher's voluminous correspondence includes letters from authors and other literary figures, many of whom Fanny developed a personal relationship with, including Ernest Hemingway, Willa Cather, Sinclair Lewis, H. L. Mencken, and Arthur Meeker among others. Professional correspondence regarding her work at the Chicago Tribune is also included. Correspondence is incoming unless otherwise noted.
