Scope and Contents note

The Fellowship of American Bibliophilic Societies (FABS), is a collective of over 30 American bibliophile clubs that was organized in 1994. FABS focuses on the benefits of fellowship under the general interest for love of the book and its creation. This series contains exhibition memorabilia, meeting notes, and the FABS newsletters from 1995 onward. A FABS tour of the Newberry Library occurred in 1997 after the accession of the Caxton Clubs archives to the Newberry. An annual meeting is held at one of the following club’s home location, which are referred to as symposiums. Correspondence and planning for the Chicago symposium for FABS are featured in files “Newsletter Volume VI” and “Tours and Symposium, 2002”.
