Fenninger, Jane - American Bouillabaisse, January 10, 1990
Paper description
Tale of tracing the ingredients of an "American stew" or where did our forbearers come from? Because of the variety, the author chose to describe the first settlement on the Delaware River, "New Sweden", 1938-1655. She tells the story of an ancestor, Olof Stille, who came from Sweden, became a Dutch magistrate and an English one under William Penn, while continuing to live on his farm on the Delaware, now in Philadelphia.
