Begins with statistics and a sketchy history of the National Institute for Missing and Exploited Children, founded in 1985. Tells the story of three young adults, children of friends, who have gone missing: (1) Franklin Perkins Dunbaugh, MIA in Korea (and an only child), at the very end of the war in December, 1952; (2) Sam Todd, Yale theology student, disappeared in December, 1984, in NYC while jogging around the block (200 volunteers looking for him and persistence, but he was never found); (3) a 21-year old acquaintance of author’s and his friend, abducted while canoeing in Columbia, South America, in October, 1987 by FARC (Columbian Revolutionary Armed Forces). The young men were suspected of being CIA agents. Includes a description of their captivity and release on August 6, 1988.
