Photographs taken for or provided to Lerner Newspapers for publication, primarily in the Lincoln-Belmont Booster between March 1978 and May 1982. The collection includes fuller runs during 1978 and 1979, with scattered dates from 1980-1982. Photograph subjects in this series include people, events, and scenes from daily life in the north side neighborhoods and suburbs covered by the publication. Most photographs appear to be taken specifically for use by the Booster, though some folders contain press and publicity photos provided by other entities as well. There is overlap between chronologically arranged photographs in this series and the reference-oriented “VIP files” in Series 2.
