M, 1936-1966
Scope and Contents note
Letters from John Drury to various publications, editors, fellow journalists, and family. There are many letters of interest to Chicago Daily News associates such as Harry Hansen, Howard Vincent O'Brien, and John Casey and to fellow Chicago figures such as Henry Field and Herma Clark. Later correspondence reflects the challenges of surviving as a freelance journalist as Drury sends numerous unsolicited story ideas and manuscripts to corporate publications and newspapers.
