This series consists mainly of Marion Neville’s prolific correspondence with family and friends during the last twenty years of her life when she and John lived at their Indiana country home. Correspondents include notable Midwest authors and artists such as August Derleth, Gertrude Abercrombie, and Mark Turbyfill. The correspondence includes a small amount of professional correspondence relating to her career as a book reviewer and columnist. Professional correspondents include Herman Kogan of the Chicago Daily News and A.C. Spectorsky of the Chicago Sun. This series also includes columns, book reviews, short stories, and unpublished novel manuscripts written by Marion, as well as her paintings and drawings and other personal documents and memorabilia.
