Scope and Contents note
This series consists of portraits and candid photos of John and Marion, their family, and friends; and photographs relating to John’s various work projects, including various Midwest houses, Illinois towns, Indiana industry, and historic Abraham Lincoln sites. Also included is a significant cache of unidentified cabinet portraiture ca. 1880-1910; portraits of various personalities; and a scrapbook containing photos documenting John’s merchant marine voyage to South America in 1923.
