Audiovisual materials include 1/4" reel-to-reel tapes of interviews done by former Chicago Daily News columnist John Drury for a proposed history of the newspaper, 1/4" reel-to-reel recordings of the Sun-Times Book & Author Series, audio and video recordings of important events such as the ground breaking of the new Sun-Times building, and the 40th anniversary of Irv Kupcinet's column. Artifacts include a printing slug and matrix, a paper minidress made from a fabric printed with Chicago Sun-Times news headlines, and one of the shovels used in the groundbreaking of the new Sun-Times/Daily News building in 1955.
