Joan Weil Saltzstein, daughter of Sara Adler Weil and granddaughter of Dankmar Adler, was an author and architectural historian who wrote extensively about her grandfather, his designs and buildings, and about historical preservation of buildings. Through her family ties and interests she befriended architectural photographer Richard Nickel, architect Frank Lloyd Wright and his wife Olgivanna Wright, and author Thornton Wilder. Saltzstein's materials contain clippings about her, correspondence (primarily about the publications of her articles and books), research materials (clippings, notes, drafts, correspondence), and copies of her works.
