 File — Box: 4, Folder: 83

Scope and Contents note

From the Series:

Correspondence between James M. Baker and his many business colleagues and friends. Folders often act as subject files and can contain clippings, writings, company pamphlets, and other materials pertaining to a given person or organization. Barker maintained longtime relationships with many major figures in business, politics, and education, including James Doolittle, Charles Dawes, Robert E. Wood, Allen Dulles, Alfred A. Knopf, Atherton Richards, James R. Killian, and numerous others. He wrote often lengthy letters describing his views on current politics, social conditions, and business, making for an informative resource that is revealing not only of Baker's personal philosophies, but a reflection of the World War II and Cold War environments that influenced him.
