Scope and Contents note
Correspondence and personal memorabilia regarding the personal and professional life of the Burts. Extensive correspondence between Edith and Henry between 1899-1901 exists as well as diaries and memorabilia commemorating their travels. Some sheet music is included as well as several scrapbooks of musical performances by Helen Burt Potteiger. The sound recording is two performances of Helen Burt Potteiger's from the 1940s, transferred from 78 rpm disks to compact disc. Professional writing from Henry J. Burt regarding steel construction, Soldier Field, and the Tribune Tower are included.
