Scope and Contents note

Contains newspaper clippings found in the collection, the bulk of them relating to the attempted annexation of Santo Domingo, Babcock’s Whiskey Ring trial and his death. Also included is a small collection of clippings on singer Jenny Lind, a small collection of clippings on the steamship Pacific, and individual clippings.
