Composition journals that Dilworth used mostly for poetry early in his career, although some also contain notes on subject matter, like in the journals for "Harry Butters," as well as notes for his piano work. Several poems fill multiple journals, like "The Lament" and "Gethsemane." Many works are dated, including when revisions and additions to the poems were made. There is also one folder of personal material, which includes copyright certificates, newspaper clippings, biographical information, some correspondence, and miscellaneous notes.
