From the Series:

Predominantly correspondence between family members concerning family life, religion, socializing, and gossip. Series also includes Harvard memorabilia of Benjamin Carpenter, childhood artwork by the Carpenter children, newsletters and Christmas cards from the George B. Carpenter Co., and other miscellaneous personal items. Almost half of the series is made up of the genealogical correspondence of Helen Fairbank Carpenter written while researching the two family histories she authored, The Reverend John Graham of Woodbury, Connecticut and his Descendants, and Antecedents and Descendants of Nathaniel Kellogg Fairbank (co-authored with Helen De Freitas).
