Letters from the publishing houses reveal initial enthusiasm for her work, and several editors like Alfred A. Knopf, Jr. and Monroe Engel worked over time with Fornell to try to improve "Montel," but never with success. Also contains personal correspondence with friends Mark Schorer and Datus C.
