Correspondence to and from others includes letters to and from friends and colleagues C.B. Cady and Otto Floersheim, and notable letters (one from Stephen Douglas) to Gleason’s father-in-law J.A. Kennicott. The letter from composer Giuseppe Verdi to composer Alberto Mazzucato is possibly a souvenir picked up by Gleason.
