Consists of photographs of various individuals and places. Many are posed studio photographs of unidentified upper-class middle-aged individuals. There are also many posed photographs, including tintypes, of individual children, groups of children, and young adults. Included are photographs of the inside and outside of a log cabin, a house with a group of people posed in front of it, a photograph of a young man with a weapon, and a photograph of a young couple walking outdoors. Also in this collection are photographs from Helen Ainslie Smith’s travels, including turn-of-the-century photographs from various European locations. There are photographs of a Corpus Christi celebration in Burgos, Spain, the coastline of Grenada, Spain, Chateau de Chenonceau, France, Monte Carlo, Campos, Italy, and Algiers.
