Subject files pertaining to Indian tribes containing articles, clippings, pamphlets, brochures, newspapers, newsletters, maps, graphs, photographs, negatives, copies of letters, and correspondence (1775-1993) collected and/or copied by Virgil Vogel during his long career. Files cover a wide variety of Native American tribes throughout the United States. Most well-represented are the Cherokee, Chippewa, Miami, Navajo, Potawatomi, and Sioux.
