Papers of Elsa Meyer (1900-1996), a Chicago fashion executive. Meyer started Elsa Meyer Buying Service in 1946, a company that assisted women’s specialty clothing stores in their selection of merchandise. She also served as Regional Director of Fashion Group, an international organization that promotes the fashion and garment industry. Collection includes photographs, newspaper and magazine clippings, correspondence, and two scrapbooks. Also includes photographs inscribed to Meyer from actor Ralph Bellamy.
