Scope and Content of the Collection

Two small groups of railroad photographs. There are 15 mounted modern reproductions relating to the construction of the Union Pacific Railroad, including shots of the meeting with the Central Pacific line at Promontory, Utah, May 10, 1869. The second group of 34 snapshots and postcards shows railroad men, engines, cars, stations and wrecks, apparently taken in Wisconsin ca. 1913-1914.
