Scope and Contents

Collection of papers pertaining to the Iowa League of Women Voters and one of its members, Lanche Wolf (identified only as Mrs. Sam Wolf), of Charles City, Iowa. Included are the constitution and by-laws of the Iowa League of Women Voters; an autographed letter dated 11 May 1922 addressed to Mrs. Wolf from Carrie Chapman Catt, a suffragist leader who founded the League of Women Voters; and a letter dated 5 October 1925 addressed to Mr. Sam Wolf from Salvation Army Divisional Commander Normal S. Marshall expressing his condolences regarding the the death of Mrs. Wolf. The collection also includes an envelope labeled "Finance chairman - Iowa League of Women Voters," which contains blank Iowa Suffrage Memorial Commission membership cards; a program for the National League of Women Voters; financial plans and fundraising guidelines; and miscellaneous correspondence pertaining to the Iowa League of Women Voters.
