Goodwin family papers

Goodwin, student at Amherst College, Mass., minister of First Congregational Church in Chicago, and Middle East traveler (1870).

Hannah Hayden Letters

Abstract Correspondence written in the early nineteenth century by Hannah Hayden from Hartwick and Springfield, Otsego County, New York, to her parents and sisters in Windsor, Connecticut, plus a few other family letters. Seventy-six items, the bulk of which are written by Hannah, detail her everyday life with her husband, and the births, lives and deaths of some of their twelve children.

R. Hoe & Company Records

Abstract R. Hoe & Company was the largest manufacturer of printing presses and press equipment in the U.S. during the 19th century. Collection consists of incoming letters to the Hoe Company from customers in many states and several European and Latin American countries, deriving from 3 or more letter books of 1858, 1873 and 1877-1878. There are also some 1873-1878 internal memos, patent correspondence, and letters from regional agents of the Hoe Company.

Ramsay Crooks correspondence

Abstract Fur trader. As general manager of John Jacob Astor's American Fur Company, 1817-1834, Ramsay Crooks was responsible for the opening of the firm's Western Department in 1822 in St. Louis.
