Also includes correspondence with their son, Alexander Andrew Heflin, who worked for railroads in Kansas, and between Heflin and his wife, teacher Jessie Beathard Heflin.
Abstract Correspondence and documents relating to the immigrant Hoffmann family, especially John A. Hoffmann of Illinois and Franz Joseph Hoffmann in Dubuque, Iowa. By 1901, the family had established a feed and fuel company in Wilmette, Illinois.
