Abstract Incomplete (pages 81-296) manuscript of an anti-slavery essay written by Joseph Bachellor Goddard, a Congregational minister in Londonderry, Vermont, and 1816 graduate of Williams College, who argued for the elimination of slavery, but sharply criticized the program of the American Colonization Society.
